The 23-year-old has been in good form since moving to the club in the summer from Scottish champions Celtic and has declared his delight at their win at Anfield
The South Korea international's nickname is 'Kirrard', and he told of how much the win over Brendan Rodgers' side away from home meant, hailing it as a fantastic result for the club against "world-class" players in Gerrard and Luis Suarez.
"This is first win for Swansea at Anfield. I think it's meaningful. We prepared this game really well," Ki told Ilgan Sports.
"It was a good experience to play against world class players. But Swansea's win is more important. I'm proud of the result.

"Gerrard and other Liverpool players have much experience and played well in Premier League, so there was much to learn. But we did our best and left no regret. I myself tried what I could do and what my strength is."
With a game against league leaders Chelsea on the horizon, Ki argued that the strength of the team's midfield allows them to play well against some of the top flight's bigger sides and has backed them to recover from the lack of rest between fixtures.
He added: "Of course it's difficult to play many games but I'm young enough to recover. I'm confident we can make a positive result against Chelsea too. We want to show good games to home fans.
"[Leon] Britton, Michu and [Jonathan] De Guzman control the ball really comfortably.
"They lead and help me to play confidently. I also have much experience because I have played in major tournaments and with Celtic."
