Spurs demolished the hosts 4-0 at Villa Park, their third game in six days, and the manager believes that the squad's strength in depth is key to their success so far this season
The Spurs manager previously criticised the English football authorities for "putting players' careers at risk" with scheduling games so close together, with the win in Wales itself coming only on the Sunday after a Europa League victory over Tromso on Thursday.

"It's a great response for the team who finished off the game on Sunday," he told Sky Sports News. "We came here with three players who played that game, so a little bit at risk, but a great response from the team."
"We have great strength in depth and great team spirit this year and the players are all buzzing for opportunities like this, and I think most of them really really performed out there.
"I think it allows us to throw a strong team on the pitch after playing just after two days, so we have that strength and we use it.
"What's good about this evening is that the players that came on responded with the right spirit and great sense of responsibility towards this competition and did extremely well."
