Jose Antonio Reyes has insisted that Sevilla must show Benfica respect in Wednesday's Europa League final in Turin and feels the Portuguese champions are a great team.

Sevilla beat Valencia in the semi-finals of the competition to book their ticket for the showpiece at the Juventus Stadium and Reyes is desperate to guide the Spanish side to their first European trophy since 2006-07.

"I played for Benfica in the past. They are a great team and we must respect them," the attacker told Goal.

"We have made it to the final because we never gave up. The semi-final tie with Valencia was madness.

"The final will be a great game. It doesn't matter which team we face because it will be a special match either way.

"Our fans are amazing and deserve a victory."

Wednesday's encounter in Turin is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.

Sevilla beat Valencia, Porto, Betis and Maribor on their way to the final, while Benfica saw off Juventus, AZ, Tottenham and PAOK in the knockout stages.
