The 42-year-old Sevilla coach insists that there is no chance that he will have divided loyalties when he comes up against his old employers in the Europa League on Thursday
Emery will host his old employers on Thursday after seeing off Porto in the quarter-finals and the 42-year-old anticipates a closely fought contest against the fellow Primera Division side but insists that there is no chance of him having divided loyalites on the night.
"I am 100 per cent Sevilla," he told the press.
"I have good memories of all the teams I've managed and Valencia have made me a better coach and a better person but now my feeling is 100% of Sevilla and my only thought is to do good for all of us.
"There is only one match, we have to flow into that game. We don't think about the two legs, we are focused only on this 90 minutes but, in 90 minutes, nothing will be solved entirely."
Emery coached Valencia between 2008 and 2012 and is yet to get the better of them this term, with a loss and a draw in the two games between the sides.
