The Italian veteran feels that Antonio Conte's charges earned their place in the next round of the Europa League following their narrow win over the Viola on ThursdayJuventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo insists that his side fully deserved to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Europa League after their 1-0 victory over Fiorentina.
A superb second-leg free kick from Pirlo overturned the Viola's away-goal advantage following a 1-1 result in Turin and the 34-year-old feels that the Bianconeri warranted their place in the next round.
"It was important to move forward [in the Europa League]," the veteran midfielder told Mediaset immediately after the match. "We wanted to qualify and I think it was a well deserved win from what we saw here tonight.
"A game that lasts 180 minutes [is a long time] but we knew we could do it. We want to continue progressing in Europe as well as Serie A."
Juventus, who currently lead the Italian top flight with a comfortable 14-point advantage over second-placed Roma, will find out who they face in the quarter-finals after the draw on Friday.
