Joey Barton will make his debut for Marseille in the French club's Europa League group stage clash against Fenerbahce.
The midfielder joined Elie Baup's side on loan from QPR in August but has yet to make his debut after the French League confirmed he must serve the remainder of the 12-match ban before being allowed to play.
Barton was suspended after he was sent off in QPR's final game of last season against Manchester City before clashing with Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany.
His exit from Mark Hughes' side appeared to be sealed after he wasn't given a squad number at the start of the season after he trained with League Two side Fleetwood Town for a spell in the summer.
The 30-year-old joined Marseille on loan until the end of the season on transfer deadline day after a protracted move which saw him become the second Premier League player to play in Ligue 1 in two years following Joe Cole's spell at Lille last year.
Marseille XI to play Fenerbahce: Mandanda; Fanni, N'Diaye, N'Koulou, Morel Kabore, Barton, Amalfitano, Ayew, Remy, Valbuena.
