English World Cup players sit out Reds’ trip…

Liverpool’s players who were part of England’s 2010 World Cup squad will sit out the Europa League qualifier against FK Rabotnicki on Thursday.

Jamie Carragher, Glen Johnson, Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole will all miss the clash, remaining at the club’s training ground as they continue to recover from their exploits in South Africa.

New signings Milan Jovanovic and Danny Wilson are part of the 20-man squad, as well as defenders Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger and Sotirios Kyrgiakos.

A number of youngsters will be given a chance to prove their worth in Macedonia, including Jonjo Shelvey, David Amoo and Tom Ince.

Cavalieri, Aquilani, Agger, Jovanovic, Kyrgiakos, Lucas, Wilson, Ngog, Spearing, Darby, Shelvey, Kelly, Skrtel, Eccleston, Ayala, Hansen, Gulacsi, Amoo, Dalla Valle, Ince.
