The goalkeeper feels the strength of the Ligue 1 champions' squad is on a par with Jose Mourinho's side, but Lucas Digne feels the Blues' superior European prowess could prove key

Salvatore Sirigu is confident Paris Saint-Germain can match Chelsea when the two teams meet in the Champions League quarter-finals next month.

The Ligue 1 champions reached the same stage of the competition last year, only to be knocked out on away goals by Barcelona, and are now aiming to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 1994-95.

Sirigu feels PSG are on the same level as their English opponents, but pointed to manager Jose Mourinho's "winning mentality" as crucial to Chelsea's hopes.

"Mourinho is very strong with the media. He is able to take the pressure off him and his team," Sirigu told RMC.

"He brings the best out of players and has a great winning mentality, which is incredibly important in football.

"I am expecting a tough battle. It will definitely be a mountain to climb but we are already at their level. We can match them."

PSG defender Lucas Digne, meanwhile, feels Chelsea's European prowess - having won the Champions League in 2012 and being the current holders of the Europa League - give them an edge.

"It will be a great challenge and a great game to play. This is the kind of game that everyone wants to be involved in," Digne added.

"People say we are a match for Chelsea in Europe, but this is wrong. They won the Europa League last year so they hold the stronger hand."
