The manager saw his Arsenal side reached the knockout stages of the Champions League, but face a harder task to reach the quarter-finals following Borussia Dortmund's winArsene Wenger had admitted he rues Arsenal's inability to finish top of their Champions League group, but remains upbeat ahead of Monday's last-16 draw.
Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon scored two late goals for Napoli in a 2-0 win, but Kevin Grosskreutz's winner in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 victory over Marseille meant the Gunners will face a seeded team in the next round.

"Of course to finish second makes the potential draw more difficult, in the last four or five years we have had very difficult draws, so maybe this time we will be more lucky," he told reporters.
"If you look at the teams who are potentially there, at least we know we will have a difficult draw. [There is] frustration, because you feel there was room to do better, but it could have been worse as well tonight.
"On the other hand, we have now qualified for a 14th consecutive year for the last 16 and maybe number 14 will bring us a bit of luck.
"We will see what comes out of the draw and will assess that in February, because a lot can change on both sides, on us and the team we play against, so we need to put that to the back of our minds now and focus on the championship."
Wenger spared a thought for Napoli, who he believes can feel somewhat aggrieved to have seen their Champions League journey brought to an end.
"I feel for Napoli," he added. "It was a difficult group and three teams have finished on 12 points. One team had to be knocked out but they can feel very hard done by to be that team.
"We took the game seriously and we were focused but perhaps we dropped physically second half. They played very well and we were on edge but in the end we’re happy to get through.
"The most difficult is when you are in between, do we attack or defend? As long as we didn't score, they had hope.
"Maybe what helped was that Dortmund were drawing 1-1 and maybe they put the handbrake on, that's why we didn't get too much pressure in the end."
