The Argentine coach urges his side to give their all against Zenit St Petersburg and warns that Brazil international Hulk is not the Russian outfit's only threatDiego Simeone is adamant that Atletico Madrid will not take Tuesday's Champions League game against Zenit St Petersburg lightly as they want to give a good account of themselves.
The Spanish side sit top of Group G with 12 points from four games and have already secured their place in the last 16 but their coach wants his troops to continue hitting the high standards that they have set so far this season.
"The main thing is that on the pitch we show the hunger to win and the desire to play classy football," Simeone said at a press conference.
"It does not matter if we have gone through or not, nor the way we've played before. What is important is the game itself and not what is happening around it."
Simeone warned that Atleti cannot afford to focus solely on Hulk as Zenit have more to offer than the Brazil international.
"Hulk is not Zenit's only strong player," he continued. "Our opponents have a strong attack made up of internationals. Zenit have strong, rapid transition from defence to attack; that could create problems for us."
Atletico recorded a 3-1 win at the Estadio Vicente Calderon in the reverse fixture.
