The former France boss is optimistic about his side's chances in Europe this term and is looking to Chelsea's 2011-12 triumph for inspiration
The Ligue 1 champions made it to the quarter-finals of European club football's elite competition last term, where Barcelona proved to be too strong, but Blanc feels they can do even better in 2013-14 if they take inspiration from Chelsea's surprise triumph of 2011-12.
"Our objectives are pretty clear, we want to do as well as possible in each competition we take part in," Blanc told Le Parisien.
"We want to do at least as well as last season in the Champions League and perhaps even better. PSG can win the Champions League just like Chelsea won it when nobody expected them to win it.
"It all depends on the circumstances, on the draw, on the players' form at the big moments. I like to say that PSG have the potential to win the Champions League."
Paris Saint-Germain's best performance in the modern Champions League was a semi-final spot in 1994-95, when they eventually crashed out against AC Milan.
