German heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund go head to head to be crowned kings of Europe as Jupp Heynckes looks to go out on a high with the Bavarians
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund lock horns in the all-German final at Wembley this weekend as the top two teams in the Bundesliga fight it out to seal some sort of domestic supremacy as well as European success.
The match has been dominated by news of Mario Gotze - Dortmund's star midfielder who will join Bayern in the summer - and the hamstring injury that has curtailed his chances of taking part in the match against his future employers.
Bayern wrestled the league back from Dortmund and have been in scintillating form all season long in what is manager Jupp Heynckes' swansong season, with a 7-0 aggregate thrashing of Barcelona in the semi-finals an obvious highlight.
Dortmund also secured a high-profile scalp in the semis, as they saw off Real Madrid and Jurgen Klopp and his side will be determined to ruin Heynckes' final game in charge of the Bavarians before Pep Guardiola takes charge in the summer.
Munich will be without long-term injury victims Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber for the final, while Dortmund central defender Mats Hummels faces a race against time to prove his fitness along with having to contend without the services of the influential Gotze.
What do you think? Who will triumph in Saturday evening's Champions League final?
