The Citizens midfielder claims his side have proven they have the ability to beat the Dutch side and believes that they can progress to the Champions League knock-out stages
City, who are currently bottom of their group with just one point from three matches, go into Tuesday's encounter knowing that nothing but a win will help their hopes of progressing to the knock-out phase.
Ahead of the match, Barry has disputed suggestions that the dressing room is split, claiming that team spirit is stronger than ever amongst his teammates.
“If you go in our dressing room, we’re not all high-fiving every ten minutes or having long conversations. That’s just not it,” he told reporters.

“Team spirit is about being professional on the pitch and doing your job together. And that’s what we feel we’ve got and what we try to do, week in, week out.
“We do that together; perform and run for each other, run for the manager and run for the fans. That’s team spirit.”
The 31-year-old went on to insist that the criticism often levelled at some of the stars at the club for being egotistical is misplaced.
“The big names have come in and whenever there is a bad result these sorts of things are thrown at the players; egos, people can’t get on or people aren’t happy,” he continued.
“But inside the dressing room we’re very close. We’ll put that right and make people be quiet with good performances, that’s our target.”
The former Aston Villa midfielder also suggested that, in spite of losing 3-1 to the Dutch side last time out, his team are capable of beating Ajax.
“For the whole 90 minutes we didn’t perform good enough. We had good spells where we got the goal and we could have got the second [goal],” he added.
“In the first ten minutes of the second half we really were on top, so their goal was a bit of a sucker punch.
“I think we’ve shown in spells that we’re more than capable of beating Ajax and we’ve got to prove that tomorrow night.”
