Emanuelson: AC Milan were unlucky

The versatile Dutchman believes the Rossoneri deserved better than a narrow loss as he was rather satisfied with their good attitude
Urby Emanuelson feels that AC Milan were unlucky to lose Wednesday's Champions League Group C encounter against Malaga at the Rosaleda as they deserved better in his opinion.

A single Joaquin goal in the second half helped the Liga side to a narrow 1-0 win, but Emanuelson was quite pleased with Milan's display as he saw plenty of positives.

"There is some satisfaction in having made Malaga work hard. Also, if you look at the game, I don't think we deserved to lose. There were some good things in it for us," Emanuelson was quoted as saying on the Uefa website.

"We also had some chances to score, but we are going through a difficult patch right now. We need a little bit of luck.

"We know that in difficult times you have to fight for everything. That's what we did tonight – we played as a team, fought for every ball.

"We were lacking a bit of luck and they only got a 1-0, but we can beat them at home and that would be important for us."

Both sides meet again on November 7 at the Giuseppe Meazza.
