Bayern lost the return of the semi-final tie against Madrid 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday after recording a 2-1 win at home last week, but the Bavarians eventually proved to be the stronger of the two after penalties, as Bastian Schweinsteiger fired home the winner to help his side to the final at the Allianz Arena.
"I am very happy. This is a great achievement for the club and for the players. We didn't show any fear out there and deserved to reach the final," Ribery stated to reporters.
"This will be my first Champions League final as I missed the match against Inter two years ago due to suspension. I am absolutely delighted."
Bayern will have to make do without the services of the suspended David Alaba, Luiz Gustavo and Holger Badstuber in the final against Chelsea.
