The Uruguay international believes his team need to go into their midweek European encounter with the right mentality against Andre Villas-Boas' menNapoli striker Edinson Cavani has stressed the importance of going into Tuesday's Champions League round of 16 first leg against Chelsea with the right attitude.
The Uruguay international was speaking after his side's 3-0 away win over Fiorentina in Serie A on Friday, a game in which the forward grabbed a brace alongside Ezequiel Lavezzi's solitary strike.
"The first thing that comes to mind after tonight's [Friday's] game is this is the way [we have to play] against Chelsea. This is the attitude we must have for that game," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"From now, we will be thinking about a challenge that will be very tough. Every minute till then will be very important for our recovery."
The striker was then quizzed on whether his side would head into the game against Chelsea as favourites, due to the English side's current poor run of form.
"This is football and in football you never know. Many thought Napoli could not produce what we have done in the Champions League. The game is 90 minutes and the ball is round - anything can happen on the field," he added.
Cavani is now on 22 goals for the season in all competitions, as Napoli sit in fifth place in Serie A.
