Wojciech Szczesny has praised Arsenal’s “professional” performances in the Champions League, after a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund ensured that they will top Group F with a game to spare.

The Polish goalkeeper feels that the Gunners have dealt admirably with a difficult group, though he was frustrated to concede against the Germans.

“We've won the group and I think we did the job very professionally in our last few games in the Champions League,” Szczesny told the club’s official website.

“I wish we'd kept a clean sheet - I'm a little bit annoyed about the goal we let in - but we're very pleased.

“It gives us a lot of confidence to win the group. We were always confident we could get out of the group but to have actually qualified with one game to go gives us even more confidence.

“The Champions League is always hard. I've always said that in this competition you play against top, top-quality opponents from all over Europe. We know it's tough but so far we've done the job very professionally and I'm sure we can go far in this competition.”

Robin van Persie’s double at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night means that Arsenal have the luxury of a stress-free away game against Olympiakos on December 6.
