The Spanish attacker left the Catalans in the summer transfer window to join the Portuguse giants and is hopeful of meeting his old team again later this season
The Spanish forward left Camp Nou for the Portuguese side in the summer transfer window, but still has warm feelings for his former club.
"I'd love to take on Barcelona in the Champions League. When? At the very end, in the final of the competition," Nolito was quoted as saying by A Bola.
"You never know how far Benfica can go. We have a great team. There are days that we play like one of the best teams in the world.
"We could have beaten the same Manchester United that recorded a 3-1 win over Chelsea. It was a shame that we only drew. However, I think that we can go a long way in the Champions League."
Nolito played a key role in Benfica's qualification for the group stage by netting against both Trabzonspor and Twente in the qualification rounds.
