thumbnail Hello,

The former Chelsea boss has claimed Pep Guardiola’s 2009 Champions League success was an embarrassment and suggested Barca have “great power” due to their partnership with Unicef

Barcelona are considering reporting Jose Mourinho to Uefa after the Portuguese coach's post-match words made in light of Real Madrid's 2-0 Champions League semi-final defeat.

The club's lawyers are studying Mourinho's comments, with the Catalans looking to forward a complaint to Uefa if they find remarks that they deem worthy of action.

A statement on the club's official website reads: "Barca’s legal department will study the declarations made by Jose Mourinho following his team’s 0-2 defeat at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night to determine whether to refer them to Uefa."

Representatives from the club have confirmed to EFE that board members will meet up with the team's lawyers to "examine the contents of the press conference" to see if there are grounds for an official complaint to the controlling body of European football.

In an explosive post-match press-conference, Mourinho said: "Josep Guardiola is a fantastic football coach, but he has won one Champions League which would embarrass me after the scandalous goings on at Stamford Bridge and this year if he wins it again it will be after the scandalous goings on at the Bernabeu."

He added: "I don’t know if it’s the Unicef publicity or the friendship of [Spanish FA president Angel] Villar at Uefa, where he is vice president, I don’t know if it’s because they are so nice, but they have got great power. The rest of us have no chance."

The two sides meet again for the second leg next week at Camp Nou, with Mourinho set to view the game from the stands after being dismissed from the touchline in the first-leg loss.
