Barcelona defender Dani Alves believes concentration was the key to their Champions League quarter-final second-leg 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Catalan giants 6-1 aggregate win ensured the club a place in the semi-finals of Europe's elite competition where they are likely to meet rivals Real Madrid.
"We knew that the only way to get through was to focus on tonight's game and not the result at Camp Nou," Alves told the press after the match.
"We have won in very difficult conditions and we can now look forward to Real Madrid who already have one foot in the semi-finals."
The former Sevilla man is now looking forward to Saturday's La Liga 'el Clasico' against Madrid at the Bernabeu, with the clubs then due to meet yet again next Wednesday for the Copa del Rey final.
"Real Madrid are the favourites because they are at home but we thrive in adversity," said Alves.
"Our main aim is to win the league this season so we're going to do our best to win Saturday's game."
Alves set up Lionel Messi for the winning goal in the Ukraine.
