Kevin-Prince Boateng was disappointed with AC Milan's elimination from the Champions League, but says that Tottenham are a great team and could go a long way in the tournament.
The Serie A table toppers needed to overturn a 1-0 defeat from the first leg of the round of 16 tie against in Wednesday's return, but were held to a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane.
"I think at San Siro they played better and today we were better. In the end they qualified because they scored one more goal, simple as that," Boateng was quoted as saying on the official Uefa website.
"Sometimes their defending was very good, sometimes it was the final pass and sometimes we didn't have luck.
"Individually, they have unbelievable quality. They are very strong and as a team they play well as well. They can go very far, maybe not all the way, but I think they play fantastic football."
Spurs will join Barcelona, Shakhtar Donetsk, Schalke and four other clubs in the quarter-final draw on Friday week.
