Frenchman claims his side dominated

AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini has described his side's sadness after crashing out of the Champions League to Tottenham.

Domination was the byword of the Rossoneri's performance at White Hart Lane, but a determined Spurs side held on to go through 1-0 on aggregate following the 0-0 stalemate as the Italians were unable to stir up a surprise comeback.

"We wanted to go through, but we have been unable to. We are sad, the goal never arrived even though we played alot in their half and we tried all game to score," Flamini told Sky Sport Italia.

"We all played a good game and the team worked well. It can happen that you don't scored. The Champions League was one of our objectives."

Out of Europe, but not out of the race for the Scudetto by anymeans, argued the Frenchman.

"Now we have to win this Scudetto and we have to be focussed on our next game in the league," he added.
