Tottenham hat-trick hero Peter Crouch 'buzzing' after Champions League progression
Result culmination of last season's work...
By Matt Monaghan
Crouch, 29, eased the nerves of the Spurs support with his strikes as they beat Young Boys 4-0 on the night and 6-3 on aggregate. They will now learn their fate in the draw for the competition, with potential rivals including Real Madrid and Inter.
Speaking to the club's official website, Crouch declared he was so excited he'd hardly slept after finding the back of the net three times.
He said: "It's so hard to sleep after a night like that.
"I was absolutely buzzing. I ended up watching the game again, sad as that is!
"It was a great occasion, a fantastic atmosphere and hopefully there will be many more nights like that to come.
"It was so pleasing to get the three goals, but it's really the culmination of all the hard work we put in last season. It would have been bitterly disappointing not to get to the group stages after finishing fourth."
