The Colombian striker, visibly upset when withdrawn by the Dutchman in Tuesday's FA Cup extra-time defeat to Sheffield United, says the substitution "broke his heart"

Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega has hit out at head coach Rene Meulensteen after the Dutchman showed a lack of respect by substituting him against Sheffield United.

The Colombia international, who had forced the replay by netting the equaliser at Bramall Lane, was hauled off in Tuesday night's FA Cup defeat to the Blades after an hour, and was visibly distressed in the dugout.

Rodallega believes he has been mistreated by Meulensteen and says his withdrawal against the League One oufit ranks as one of the lowest points of his career, even losing sleep over it.

"I have no relationship with the new manager and I think he has been disrespectful to me," Rodallega told Colombian TV show Kick Off.

"He always keeps his forwards on whether or not they are playing well, so I don't know why he has done this to me. It broke my heart.

"I've never gone through a situation like the one on Tuesday in my whole career. I couldn't sleep that night.

"I've had a good career with no acts of indiscipline anywhere. But at that moment I felt rage because I wanted to keep playing."

Fulham are currently bottom of the Premier League table after losing 3-0 to Southampton at the weekend, while Rodallega has failed to net a league goal since January 2013.
