Roberto Mancini is relying on his Manchester City side to overcome Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final so the Italian can add the trophy to his collection for the second time.
Having won the Premier League title last season he admits that his side must win the Cup as a way of paying back their fans for their support during a season of below-par performances in the domestic league and in Europe.
Mancini has already won the FA Cup with Manchester City, who beat Stoke City 1-0 in the 2011 final before going on to add the Premier League and Community Shield to the Etihad's trophy cabinet.
He told reporters: "It's important for me, for the players, for the club. It's another semi-final. We have the chance to reach another final and to win another trophy. For these reasons, it's important.
"It's very important to continue to win trophies.
"It's important we have the same concentration that we had against [Manchester] United [in Monday's Premier League derby clash] and play the same football we've played in the last two or three weeks," Mancini stated.
"If we deserve to win, we will win, but if they're better, they'll win. It's important we have a good attitude for this game."
