Tuesday FA Cup double: Back Southampton & Sheffield Wednesday to score first
After starting the week with a winning tip, Phil Kitromilides turns his attention to the FA Cup replays and has picked out two solid selections to form a 6/4 double
By Phil Kitromilides
Millwall travel to Southampton having struggled for goals all season, and with the threat of relegation very much looming.
Manager Kenny Jackett is likely to make a number of changes to the side, giving priority to the crucial home game in the league against Derby on Saturday. The Lions have only opened the scoring in two out of their last 10 league matches, and are unlikely to do so away to a high-flying Southampton side, albeit one who have seen their form dip recently.
Take the 2/5 (1.40) offered by 188Bet on Southampton opening the scoring just as they did when the two sides met in the league ten days ago.
That bet forms the basis of the double, along with Sheffield Wednesday to score first against Blackpool.
Though Blackpool are a division above Wednesday and are on a decent run, they have conceded an enormously high number of goals away from home, the third highest in the division. They have also conceded first in every one of their last five matches, including the first meeting of the two sides, ten days ago.
Wednesday meantime have found goals easy to come by at Hillsborough and are the second highest scorers at home in their division. Gary Megson's men are priced at 17/20 (1.85) to score first and given the statistics, it seems an excellent value bet.
FA Cup Double: Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday to score first at 6/4 (2.50) with 188Bet
