Chelsea and QPR chairmen Bruce Buck and Tony Fernandes will come together to call for calm ahead of the two sides FA Cup fourth round meeting on Saturday.

The clash will see John Terry and Anton Ferdinand meet for the first time since a race row exploded between the pair in October following the Blues 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road.

The England captain has denied allegations of racially abusing the former West Ham defender, with the 31-year-old due to appear before West London Magistrates court next week, having been charged over the incident.

The match has already been brought forward to a midday kick-off on police advice, with both players being encouraged to shake hands before the encounter, although Ferdinand is believed to be reluctant to do so.

There are concerns that ill-feeling could emerge amongst the separate supporters, with both clubs pre-emptively trying to ensure there is no upheaval during the fixture.
