Belgian side Genk are considering a move for struggling Championship side Blackpool's head coach Jose Riga, Goal understands.
Genk announced the sacking of Emilio Ferrera on Monday evening after just one game - a 3-1 defeat to KV Mechelen - of the new Belgian Pro League season.
Now Riga, who only took over at Bloomfield Road this summer and has also attracted interest from Deportivo La Coruna, is a target for Genk.
Riga made the move to England with Championship side Charlton in March 2014, but left the London club after keeping them in the Championship.
The former Standard Liege coach's time at Blackpool has been beset with off-field issues and wranglings with club chairman Karl Oyston.
Blackpool were forced to cancel a pre-season tour of Spain to concentrate on recruitment after an exodus at the end of the season left them with just eight contracted players.
The Seasiders have since brought in Peter Clarke, Jacob Mellis and Tomas Cywka, but the Championship side still need to rebuild their squad before their season starts against Nottingham Forest on August 9.
