Crystal Palace starlet Zaha given one-match ban for improper conduct

The Manchester United-bound attacker will now miss the Eagles' next game against Birmingham on March 29 after a gesture he made to Leeds fans lands him an FA charge and fine
Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha has been handed a one-match ban and £3,000 fine by the Football Association following a gesture he made towards Leeds fans during the 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park on the March 9.

Zaha will now miss Palace’s crucial Championship clash with Birmingham on March 29 following this week’s international break.

The attacker's lively performances for Palace earned a £15 million deal with Manchester United in January, after his first England call up in November for the friendly against Sweden.

Eagles boss Ian Holloway has already accepted a charge of improper conduct relating to the same game for comments made to match officials after the final whistle and taking to the pitch to confront the referee.
