Blackburn's global advisor Shebby Singh has stated that he hopes to make an announcement over the club's new manager in the coming days.
Having dispensed with the services of Henning Berg after only 57 days at the helm, during which the club won just one of their 10 games under his stewardship, the Lancashire-based side are searching for their third manager since the start of the campaign.
Despite reserve team boss Gary Bowyer leading the team to a 3-1 win over Barnsley on Saturday, Singh hopes to have a new permanent appointment tied up straight after the game against Nottingham Forest at home on New Year’s Day.
