Tottenham goalkeeper David Button signs for Charlton

The academy graduate, who only featured once in a six-year professional career with Spurs has joined the Addicks on a two-year deal after 13 loan spells away from White Hart Lane
Tottenham have announced that young goalkeeper David Button has left the club to join Charlton in a permanent deal.

The 23-year-old has been on loan at 11 different football clubs during his spell at White Hart Lane, while also featuring for England Under-20s and Spurs' reserve team.

The move was later confirmed on Charlton's website, with Button becoming the Addicks sixth signing of the summer, with the player himself expressing excitement at his new challange.

“I’m delighted. It’s a massive opportunity for me to come to a massive club like this and I’m really excited for the future,” he told Charlton's official website, shortly after signing his new deal.

The keeper had temporary spells at Doncaster, Barnsley and Leyton Orient last season.
