Ricardo Fuller joins Charlton

Ricardo Fuller has joined Championship team Charlton Athletic on a free transfer from Premier League side Stoke City after his contract expired at the end of the 2011-12 season.

It signifies the end of a successful spell at the Britannia Stadium in which the 32 year-old made 208 appearances and scored 50 goals, helping the club to promotion to the top-flight in 2008.

However, Fuller found himself surplus to requirements for the Potters this season, leading to a move to Chris Powell's side on a one year contract, with an option of a further 12-month extension.

The former Portsmouth, Southampton and Preston striker was unveiled to his new fans at The Valley during half-time of the Addicks' 2-1 victory over Championship rivals Leicester City.
