In the Championship, Rodri scored a debut goal in Sheffield Wednesday's triumph over Birmingham, while Jordan Obita saves a point for Portsmouth at Colchester United
||SHEFFIELD WED||3-2||BIRMINGHAM CITY|
Sheffield Wednesday picked up their first win since gaining promotion back to the Championship, beating Birmingham 3-2 at Hillsborough. Former Sevilla man Rodri grabbed a debut goal after signing on-loan from Barcelona B last week, with Nikola Zigic's double not enough for the visitors.
Leeds were on their way to a second win of the season, but after taking an early lead against Blackpool the Tangerines fought back late on and won 2-1, while Bristol City's 4-1 triumph over Crystal Palace was the most resounding result of the night in the second tier.
Following a disappointing opening-day loss to Leeds, Wolves got back on track with a 3-1 win at home to Barnsley, while promotion-hopefuls Cardiff City could only pick up a point in a scoreless draw at Brighton.
An 86th minute Junior Stanislas equaliser looked to have saved a point for Burnley at Middlesbrough, but Luke Williams scored two minutes later to give the home side all three points, and Bolton are now up-and-running after a 2-0 win over Derby.

In League One, Tranmere recorded their second win of the season away at Carlisle, with former Leeds and Swansea man Andy Robinson bagging a hat-trick.
Swindon followed suit as they also won 3-0, with visitors Crawley Town the team to suffer at the hands of Paolo Di Canio's side, while a 73rd minute Luke Murphy goal for Crewe at Scunthorpe puts the hosts bottom of the league without a point.
Just above Scunthorpe, also on zero points, are Leyton Orient as they fell at home to Stevenage, while Brentford lost 3-1 to Yeovil at home.
Colchester United thought they had managed a first win of the new season at home to Portsmouth, but teenager Jordan Obita saved Pompey's blushes with five minutes to go as they drew 2-2.

The undoubted result of the night came in League Two as Burton Albion thumped AFC Wimbledon 6-2 at home for their first points of the season, with six different scorers finding the net for the hosts.
There were only two away wins in the division on the night, with Jamie Cureton scoring the winner for Exeter in a 2-1 win at Aldershot, and Gillingham managing a narrow 1-0 triumph at Wycombe Wanderers.
Accrington Stanley’s 2-0 win over Port Vale saw them move to six points alongside Gillingham, as did Oxford United as they comfortably overcame Southend 2-0.
There were two 2-2 draws elsewhere as Cheltenham picked up a point at Toquay, while Morecambe failed to defeat York.
