Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Colin Kazim-Richards from Turkish champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old becomes the eighth new signing of a busy summer at Ewood Park, with Steve Kean also adding the likes of Danny Murphy, Leon Best and Nuno Gomes to his squad.
Richards, who was born in London but represents Turkey at international level, began his career with Bury before joining Brighton & Hove Albion for £250,000 after a supporter of the club won the sum in a competition run by Coca-Cola.
He had a brief spell at Sheffield United before joining Turkish giants Fenerbahce in 2007. Richards scored against Chelsea in a Champions League quarter-final but then briefly left Turkey for a loan spell with Toulouse in France.
He returned to join Galatasaray and famously scored the first derby goal at Gala's new Turk Telekom Arena, before being loaned out to Greek champions Olympiakos where he made nine appearances.
The winger, whose mother is Turkish, has made 35 international appearances and was on trial at West Ham, but is set to make his Rovers debut against Cork City after finalising his loan move.
