The new Molineux boss has admitted that he will be listening to offers for the Welsh striker who has made only four starts for the club since joining from Bournemouth in 2008
The Welsh international has started four games since joining Wolves from Bournemouth in 2008, and now Solbakken has admitted he is willing to listen to offers for the forward who has spent numerous loan spells away from the club.
Solbakken told the club's official website: "For Sam I think it is best to find a new challenge.
"I have spoken to him about that and we have had an honest, open discussion.
"If an offer is right and Sam is happy and we are happy he will be allowed to leave on a permanent basis.
"We haven't had any offers to date but just had an open chat with Sam two days ago about what is best for him and for us."
