Leeds United sign four new players

Neil Warnock has had a busy day in the transfer market bringing in multiple players to bolster the ranks at the Elland Road including a double swoop from cash strapped Portsmouth

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has been busy bolstering his squad numbers for the new season with the signing of four new players.

Warnock today completed the signings of Andy Gray and Rodolph Austin along with former Portsmouth duo Jamie Ashdown and Luke Varney.

Ashdown and Varney were both regulars for Portsmouth last season, but with the South Coast side's current financial problems both players have been allowed to leave the club.

Veteran striker Gray, who left Barnsley at the end of last season, has also signed with the Yorkshire club where he started his career after impressing during a trial period.

The final deal has seen Jamaican international Rodolph Austin join Neil Warnock’s side.

Warnock has been an admirer of the former SK Brann player, taking him on trial whilst manager of QPR last season, and is now concluding the deal to bring the player to Elland Road.
