Watford sack Dyche, poised to appoint Zola

The Pozzo family recently completed a takeover of the club and have moved swiftly to dismiss the 41-year-old with the former West Ham boss set to be named as his replacement
Watford have sacked Sean Dyche as manager with Gianfranco Zola poised to take over at the Championship side.

Dyche took over as the club’s manager last summer following Malky Mackay's move to Cardiff City and guided them to a respectable 11th-placed finish last season.
10/1 Watford are 10/1 with Sportingbet to be promoted next season.

However, the club were recently taken over by the Pozzo family and are poised to name former West Ham manager Zola as the man they hope can guide them back into the Premier League.

Giampaolo Pozzo revealed the club have verbally agreed a deal to take Zola, 45, to Vicarage Road and hand him his first managerial role since he departed Upton Park.

The Pozzo family also own Serie A outfit Udinese, who secured a Champions League spot last season, and Granada who successfully managed to retain their La Liga status.
