Manchester United starlet Joshua King joins Hull City on loan until the end of the season
The 20-year-old embarks on his second loan spell of the campaign to gain first team experience after returning from an unproductive stint with Borussia Monchengladbach
By Liam Twomey
The Norwegian striker recently returned to Old Trafford from an unproductive stint with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach where first-team football was hard to come by, particuarly due to a number of fitness problems, but he will expect to make a bigger impact in the Championship.
"Joshua's going out on loan again as he struggled to make an impact out there in Germany and that's the way it can be sometimes," United reserve coach Warren Joyce told the club’s official website.
"You can still learn from bad experiences.”
New Hull boss Nick Barmby is hoping King can make a big difference as his side look to mount an outside promotion push, citing former United youngster Fraizer Campbell as potential inspiration.
"Players can make a name for themselves here and use the loan as a platform," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"It's a very similar situation to when we brought Fraizer Campbell here.
"Fraizer came in as an unknown quantity but players can make a name for themselves here and use the loan as a platform.
"We're delighted to get Josh in. I first saw him play two or three years ago and I've kept tabs on him ever since.
"He's an exciting player. Josh will fit into the way we play and it's a great chance for him."
