thumbnail Hello,

Signing could make a 'big impact', says assistant boss...

Leicester City assistant manager Bruno Oliveira is not ruling out the possibility of a shock swoop to sign Aston Villa outcast Emile Heskey.

The recent takeover of the club by new owner Vichal Raksriaksorn is thought to have brought manager Paulo Sousa a boost of £10 million to his transfer kitty.

Recently, a similar styled move took place between a Championship club and a Premier League outfit, as Craig Bellamy made a loan move to Cardif City after being omitted from Manchester City's plans for the current season.

Now, Olivera believes that signing Heskey would send out a similar message of intent to the rest of the second tier.

"It would make a big impact," Oliveira told The Sun.

"Craig Bellamy was an opportunity that [Cardiff boss] Dave Jones took."
