Hull complete signing of striker Jay Simpson from Arsenal on three-year deal
Attacker joins Championship club...
By Josh Smith
Hull City have completed the signing of Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson on a three-year deal, the club's website has confirmed.
Simpson, who scored 13 goals whilst on loan at QPR last season, had been courted by a number of Championship sides and the Tigers had to fend off some stiff competition for the player’s signature.
The 21-year-old also impressed whilst on loan at Millwall two years ago, earning the PFA League One player of the year.
Simpson is Nigel Pearson’s fourth signing at the club, following Nolberto Solano, James Harper and Robert Koren to the KC Stadium.
The young striker is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's match with Watford.
