Middlesbrough striker Mido's switch to Ajax could collapse
Egyptian set for Riverside return

Mido and Ajax had agreed on terms but any fee could be enough to put off cash-strapped Ajax, who were originally informed that he would be available on a free.
"There has been no financial agreement between the clubs until now," Mido told The Northern Echo.
"The deal could fall through. I’m staying at Middlesbrough until further notice.
"I fully respect Ajax and their fans, I will never forget the two seasons I had there," said Mido.
"I wish to play for Ajax next season but the current circumstances might not allow me to do so. I will remain with Middlesbrough to help them gain promotion to the Premier League if I do not find a suitable offer."
Mido was rumoured to have returned to training well out of shape in preparation for the season, something that the former Tottenham striker has struggled with before.
Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan is desperate to move the striker on, as his huge wage bill for a Championship club is hampering further business in the transfer market.
