Genoa have not contacted Portsmouth over Kevin-Prince Boateng - agent
A move is still possible, however...
By Subhankar Mondal
The Ghanaian international's performance in the recently concluded 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa impressed a number of clubs across Europe, and Genoa are said to be one of the interested parties.
However, the 23-year-old's agent, Mario Miele, says that no contact has been made by the Grifone, though he remains hopeful that a deal will be struck.
Miele told pianetagenoa1893.net: "We are still waiting for a call from Genoa. We will probably have a meeting with the leadership of Rossoblu club.
"As I understand there isn't the agreement between Genoa and Portsmouth."
However, Miele has also hinted that Boateng could move to another Italian top-flight club this summer.
He is quoted by La Repubblica as saying: "It is a distant hypothesis, but everything can change in football. Never say never, because we don't hurry."
