thumbnail Hello,

The Dutchman learnt on Thursday that using red colours on your festive decorations is a big no-no if you're in charge at Goodison Park

Everton's shoddy form is making for a blue festive period for their fans - and they've vented their frustration at under-fire manager Ronald Koeman... by attacking his choice of Christmas tree decorations!

The Dutchman has wound up the Everton faithful with a series of PR gaffes recently including tipping striker Romelu Lukaku to play for Barcelona, dropping hints about managing Netherlands, and calling Liverpool title challengers.

So when Koeman tweeted the following image on Thursday morning to celebrate the start of December...

...Many Evertonians snapped into a fit of rage that he had the audacity to use the traditional Christmas theme of red on his tree, demanding he reconsider and go blue like the Toffees' kit.
Koeman buckled to the hoard of angry Twitter users and presented his newly-decorated Christmas tree a couple of hours later, this time with a distinct blue theme.
Koeman followed it up with a dig at the angry Evertonians who railed against his initial tweet, saying: "I think there are more serious problems in the world, than making a big story out of a Christmas tree!"
