Patrice Evra has posted a throwback video on Instagram to pay homage to Ryan Giggs on his 43rd birthday.
Manchester United legend Giggs spent 24 years at Old Trafford in playing and coaching capacities before leaving the club following Jose Mourinho's arrival as manager.
Evra played alongside the Welshman during his eight-year spell at United, with the duo winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League during that period.
And Juventus full-back Evra has not forgotten about his time linking up with the former Wales international, posting a video on Instagram that shows him cheekily throwing the ball against Giggs's back during a Manchester derby.
JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE!!! My favorite LEGEND When Giggsy was 39 years old and I saw him out in training even though I had a pain... I will ask the doctor to give me an anti-inflammatory to train because otherwise I would have been ashamed of myself to not train...#respect#motivation#legends#manchesterunited thanks for the best skill ever I love this game haahahahahah
The caption also tells the tale of how Evra took painkillers in order to be able to train with a 39-year-old Giggs, presumably as he felt bad for missing out due to his team-mate's age.

Giggs is looking for his first full-time job in football management and had been in talks over taking charge at Swansea City before Bob Bradley was announced as Francesco Guidolin's replacement.
