The France international completed his move from QPR to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with the Blues agreeing to meet his £8.5 million release clause.
And the club have now announced that Remy will take the shirt vacated by Romelu Lukaku, who joined Everton for £28m earlier this summer.
Remy, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle, scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for the Magpies and looked set to move to Liverpool earlier this summer, only for the deal to fall through over reported injury concerns.
