thumbnail Hello,

West Ham weathered a difficult spell over the winter period to eventually ensure their Premier League safety with games to spare.

A 2-0 victory over Tottenham proved a good way to end the season in front of the home fans at Upton Park ahead of a final day defeat to champions Manchester City, but questions over the club's playing style under Sam Allardyce continue to be raised by fans.

Indeed, West Ham average the second fewest short passes per game in the top flight (274), behind only Tony Pulis' Crystal Palace (263), while only Manchester United average more crosses per game (27) than the Hammers (25).
