Ryan Giggs is set to play a part on the pitch in Manchester United's final home game of the season against Hull City on Tuesday in what could prove to be the Welsh legend's Old Trafford farewell.

Giggs has not taken part in full training since replacing David Moyes as United boss for the remainder of the season following the Scot's sacking on April 22.

But the veteran midfielder participated in the final hour of a session at Carrington ahead of the clash with Steve Bruce's side on Tuesday night.

Goal understands Giggs will not stay on as manager following the end of the 2013-14 campaign, with Louis van Gaal having already agreed a deal to take over at Old Trafford this summer.

Giggs also indicated he could leave United if the chance to manage elsewhere arose at the end of the season.

"You can never say yes or no," he told reporters. "I'm still a young man in relative terms in management."

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney - who missed the shock 1-0 defeat to Sunderland on Saturday with a bug and a groin complaint - also took full part in training and is expected to feature against Hull.
