Ajaccio goalkeeper Ochoa open to Premier League move

The Mexico international's contract expires at the end of the season and he admits he would relish the prospect of a move to England
Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa admits he would be open to a move to England, with his contract at the French club set to expire at the end of the season.

Ochoa has made 31 appearances for the Ligue 1 club this term, with Ajaccio rooted to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table.

The 28-year-old's agent revealed on Wednesday that his client has already received an offer from AC Milan but Ochoa claims he would love to join a Premier League club, with Liverpool credited with an interest in the shot-stopper.

"I am evaluating several offers from different countries,” Ochoa is quoted as saying by Todomercadoweb.

"I have been in France for three years and I like the way in which this league has evolved, but I would also want to try elsewhere.

"At the moment I have no agreements with any team and I am willing to listen to all the proposals to make the best decision possible.

"My agent is dealing with everything and I do not exclude a future in Italy and England."

Ochoa has made more than 50 appearances for Mexico but faces a battle to force his way into his country's World Cup squad, with Moises Munoz and Alfredo Talavera picked to fill the goalkeeping spots in the international friendly against the United States in April.
