Arsenal will be looking to bounce back as they face Swansea City on Tuesday and the former Gunners midfielder maintains the club remain in the title race, despite their latest setback.
"I know what Wenger is capable of. He will raise the heads of the players," Pires told RMC.
"On Tuesday, they have an important game against Swansea. They are still in the race. The fight will be complicated.
"There is Liverpool in the race, you have City, you have Chelsea, so it allows us to have a pretty exciting end of season.
"We will see who will make the best finish, and be the most consistent.
"Arsenal had a difficult time, they conceded six against Chelsea, but knowing a little about this group, I know that they will respond at the Emirates on Tuesday."
