Arsene Wenger has left Mesut Ozil out of Arsenal's squad for the club's Premier League clash with Sunderland, while Olivier Giroud returns to the starting XI.
The German playmaker failed to convert a penalty to give his side the lead during Wednesday's meeting with Bayern Munich, a game the Gunners eventually lost 2-0.
Wenger went on to admit that Ozil's mindset had been affected by the miss, and was yet to 'get over' the incident 48 hours later.
As Goal revealed on Saturday morning, the 25-year-old will not play any part in this weekend's league meeting.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud, who has sat out his side's last two fixtures, returns to Wenger's starting line-up, as Yaya Sanogo drops back to the bench. Lukas Podolski and Tomas Rosicky also start.
Both teams in full:
Arsenal: Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Arteta, Wilshere; Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski; Giroud.
